Mommyhood Awaits!
8 days to go till my due date...

***

So I’m finally in the mood to blog again!

I never realized that babies needed so much stuff, after all, they’re such tiny creatures! Bong and I are really lucky coz we were able to get almost everything we need from the baby shower. Seriously, we recommend baby shower-ing to all expectant mommies and daddies out there! We’re so lucky to have such supportive friends and family too. Thanks so much to everyone who’s helped us out with this baby!

March was an extremely busy month, and the first week of April has been even busier. Our time has been spent mostly in getting the house ready for baby Tristan’s arrival. Hard to believe that I’m actually gonna be a mom in 8 days. I’m really, really nervous about it, to tell you the truth. I’ve never had to handle so much responsibility in my life. But more than anything, I’m really excited. Anyway…

My mom’s done a great job making our house baby-friendly. Over the pat month, we were all forced to part with the junk we’ve accumulated over the years. Believe me, there was a lot of junk! I’d post pictures of what our house looked like before the cleaning spree, but unfortunately I forgot to actually take “before” pictures. Besides, those who’ve been in my house, particularly in the bedrooms, can tell you that the place was so embarrassingly full of tambak that you’re better off not seeing any photos. Haha. My mom successfully cleaned out their bedroom, with a little help from my dad. She also worked on my sister’s side of our room, with a little help from my sister. Haha. Bong was actually the one who cleaned out my side of the bedroom. Honestly, I’m one messy person. I’m not sure if I’d actually be able to get my things as organized and junk-free as they are now if it weren’t for all his help. My brother also did his part, kinda, by letting go of clothes that he didn’t use anymore.

It’s amazing how much money you can actually get when you decide to get rid of your old stuff. To give you an idea, we made over 30 thousand pesos in the garage sale. And to think, we sold our stuff real cheap. T-shirts were priced at 5-15 pesos each, polo shirts at 15-25 pesos, and jeans at 50-70 pesos. Some trinkets were sold at 2 pesos even. Plus you could tawad on the items you buy. My mom even threw in some stuff for free for some of the buyers. Imagine that, 30 thousand pesos worth of junk… Ganon kakalat yung bahay namin. Hahahaha.

So now were busy making good use of that money. My sister is moving out of the bedroom and into the den, so the room will soon be my bedroom and a nursery for baby Tristan. I’ll post photos of my mom’s home makeover project as soon as it’s done. Times like these, it’s great having a promising interior design student for a mother.

OK, that’s it for now. Time to lie down and put my feet up.Ü

How You Life Your Life

You seem to be straight forward, but you keep a lot inside.
You say whatever is on your mind. Other people's reactions don't phase you.
You're open to new people and friends, which makes you a pretty popular person.
You have one big dream in your life, and you never lose sight of it.
