For those who don't already know, my thesis project is a children's book. I confidently ended last term knowing that my story had already been approved and my mom and brother were helping me out with the illustrations. If there's anything that I most certainly am not, it's an illustrator. In fact, I often make fun of my own silly drawings, and even once drew an entire animal farm just to lighten the mood in the office. Some will tell you that my drawings are actually pretty cute. OK, I have to agree that to a certain extent, they are cute... If you're a 3-year old that is. So, not at all trusting my 3-year old drawing skills, 22-year old me asked my artistic mommy and brother to illustrate my thesis.

Then my oh-so-wonderful mentor one day says: You have to illustrate the book yourself.

¤Panic Attack!¤

I sat in McDo Taft texting everyone I could think of at the time and told them the awful news. DLSU wants to make an artist out of me!

So I've been working my butt off on character sketches for the past 3 weeks. I have to come up with a mom, a dad, a 4-year old boy and a 7-month old baby girl. So far I've managed to finish 3 out of 4 characters, with my mom as my spiritual adviser. What's ironic is it's the mommy character that I just can't get right. I'm gonna have these approved tomorrow, and I really hope that I get a nice big YES! I know the proportions are off and they aren't the best sketches in the world, but these are the best I can do and I'm damn proud to say that I was actually able to draw people! Hahaha. I've decided to post the 3 drawings I've already finished, and you guys better tell me what you think about them!
